Going Deeper

Cellular Systems Deep Dive

After 16 years of treating pain, we've observed a pattern that conventional approaches don't explain. Two patients with identical MRIs can have completely different outcomes. Treatments that work for months suddenly stop. The same procedure produces lasting relief in one patient and none in the next.

The reason is that pain involves multiple cellular systems simultaneously — metabolic, mitochondrial, inflammatory, hormonal, gut/microbiome, vascular, and structural. These systems don't operate independently. Dysfunction in one domain drives dysfunction in the others. Insulin resistance accelerates disc degeneration. Hormonal deficiency impairs tissue repair. Gut barrier dysfunction feeds systemic inflammation. Sleep disruption blocks growth hormone release. Each failing system amplifies the rest.

This is why patients respond so variably to treatment, and why conventional single-pathway interventions — a medication for one pathway, an injection for one nerve, surgery for one disc — often don't last. The treatment addresses one domain while the underlying cellular dysfunction in six other domains continues to drive the pain.

For patients who want to investigate these deeper systems, we offer a comprehensive cellular systems evaluation — advanced laboratory testing across all seven biological domains, wearable monitoring, and targeted therapies including hormones, supplements, and peptides. This doesn't replace our conventional pain management. It extends it.

What the Program Looks Like

Extensive specialty laboratory panels designed to measure cellular domain function across all seven systems — metabolic, mitochondrial, inflammatory, hormonal, microbiome, vascular, and structural.

Use of wearable data to continuously monitor and track sleep quality, movement patterns, stress levels, strain, exercise loads, VO2max, and heart rate variability (HRV).

Modern hormone optimization and replacement protocols based on your lab findings — not standardized dosing.

Personalized diet, supplement, and exercise protocols directed by your individual data.

Use of peptide therapeutics if indicated by domain assessment.

Additional genetic testing such as whole genome sequencing can be added, but for most patients, the most clinically relevant data is obtained from phenotypic lab data and focused genetic panels included in the specialty labs.

Investment & Expectations

Insurance does not cover this program. This is a self-pay service.

Initial labs: plan to budget $1,000 – $2,500
Monthly hormone/peptide therapies: $200 – $800

Costs depend on which domains require treatment. Every patient is different.
