Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a referral to be seen?

Not always. Many patients self-refer. However, some insurance plans require a referral from your primary care physician. Call us and we'll verify your requirements.

How quickly can I get an appointment?

We often have same-week availability. For referral patients, we contact you within 48 hours to schedule.

What should I expect at my first visit?

A thorough evaluation including medical history review, physical examination, imaging review, and development of a personalized treatment plan. Plan for 45–60 minutes.

Do you prescribe opioids?

We use a multimodal approach. Opioids may be part of a treatment plan when appropriate, but we emphasize interventional procedures, non-opioid medications, medical cannabis, and other tools. For patients on opioids who want to transition, our Renew Clinic provides Suboxone treatment.

Do you offer medical cannabis certification?

Yes. We are AMCC-certified. Certification is $150 (self-pay). Appointments available at both locations. Visit mythcdr.com for details.

Do you offer advanced or functional lab testing?

Yes. We are expanding our metabolic, hormonal, inflammatory, and functional testing capabilities to better understand what's driving your pain at a deeper level. These are self-pay labs. Ask your physician about testing options during your visit.
